The search for an HIV vaccine
Hope persists despite trial setback

by Dr. Mark Tyndall

A vaccine that could prevent HIV infection is the “holy grail” of AIDS research. Still, a vaccine remains our greatest hope in reducing the spread of HIV, and no one’s ready to give up.
